Today I am going to talk a little bit about the difference between the perfume oil roll-ons and the perfume oil sprays as I am often asked this question by customers.

Love & Strife perfume oilThe perfume oil 5ml roll-on and the 15ml spray are the exact same formulation, in the exact same fractionated coconut oil base, but at differing concentrations. They are also designed to be used a little differently.

The 5ml roll-on is

  • the most concentrated, with between 20-30% natural perfume blend (made from pure essential oils, absolutes & co2 extracts) in a fractionated coconut oil base
  • designed to be applied to the skin using the roller ball
  • perfect for carrying with you in your handbag for re-application throughout the day
  • FREE from alcohol, artificial fragrances & colours, phthalates, parabens, and other chemical nasties, and never tested on animals.
  • slightly less concentrated, containing between 10-15% natural perfume blend (made from pure essential oils, absolutes & co2 extracts) in a fractionated coconut oil base
  • designed to be sprayed on to a larger amount of bare skin & rubbed in (ie. the decolletage, inside of the wrist/arm etc)
  • also fabulous as a hair oil (spray once into the palm, rub to warm and apply through to the ends of your hair)
  • not designed to be misted around into the air as you would an alcohol spray, as it is an oil base.
  • FREE from alcohol, artificial fragrances & colours, phthalates, parabens, and other chemical nasties, and never tested on animals.
Fractionated coconut oil is a fantastic oil for your skin. One of it's additional benefits is that that can also be sprayed (unlike vegetable oils which would clog an atomiser). The very light consistency means that it moves easily through an atomiser.

Perfume sprays are usually made with an alcohol base, which is incredibly drying to the skin & hair. Oil based perfumes do not dry the skin & they tend to allow your skin to hold scent longer. This is important because Aromantik natural perfumes do not contain the synthetic chemical fixatives used in most commercial perfumes.

My favourite way to wear the perfume oils is to apply a perfume oil spray after showering onto bare skin, and then carry a roll-on with me so I can re-apply the scent when needed throughout the day. I always keep a bottle of the spray on my desk at work so I can spray some onto my wrist. The scents can also be layered to create your own 'signature scent'.
